Bližajoča se 50-letnica začetka delovanja legendarnih Led Zeppelin bo, kot že povedano s strani Jimmya Pagea, obeležena z live albumom. Novost je, da bo v čast tega mejnika v tem letu izdana tudi ilustrirana knjiga, ‘Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin’.
Robert Plant je svoj pogled na bližajočo se zlato obletnico in nadaljne morebitne aktivnosti skupine, z razliko od Pagea, sveže komentiral zelo neopredeljeno:
Well, we’re planning to get together and talk about it. Basically, it’s very difficult to find stuff that still is unheard. And not only will it be 50 years, but it’ll be, next year, 38 years since John Bonham passed away. And the great thing about Led Zeppelin was that we didn’t chronicle ourselves; we just kind of went from town to town and sang songs and played guitars and stuff and then went about our lives.
Na vprašanje, ali bodo polstoletni mejnik, poleg že napovedanih izdelkov, proslavili tudi kako drugače pa je odgovoril:
Beyond that, musically, there’s bits and pieces lying around, but not an album or anything like that. But there will be a celebration, I’m sure, somewhere. A cork will pop!
Interpretacije, ki jih je mogoče potegniti iz te izjave, bi lahko vzbudile upanje v drugačen razplet dogodkov, kot jih je napovedal Page. Ne gre pa pozabiti, da je v izjavi lanskega oktobra tudi Plant podobno zapečatil prihodnost, in sicer z besedami »you can’t ever really go back.«
Končno besedo pogosto potegne univerzalni jezik – ne glasbe, ampak denarja. V ozadju namreč še vedno ostaja močan interes zagona vsaj še ene serije dobičkonosnih koncertov.
